2020 Fall Conference - keynote suggestions needed!

The Information Technology Educators of Minnesota is considering potential keynotes for its Vision 2020 conference happening October 22-24, 2020 in Duluth, MN. ITEM is Minnesota’s professional organization for all school library media specialists, technology coordinators and specialists, technology integrationists, and anyone else interested in the application of information and technology to learning.

The following are criteria that we consider when selecting a keynote speaker:

  • An authentic, dynamic and effortless speaker with a commanding stage presence who is able to connect with audiences in a meaningful way.

  • Knowledgeable about school libraries and information technology trends in education; with an understanding of future challenges and an ability to speak to the relevance and critical value of libraries and information technology in schools

  • Prepared to offer breakthrough thinking, innovative ideas and creative solutions that will resonate with an audience of information professionals

  • Our theme is: #vision2020 We are looking for keynotes who are in a position to help our audience envision engaging library learning? experiences

The keynote speakers at the 2019 conference were Kristina Holzweiss, Kelly Holstine, and Sara Park Dahlen

Keynote speakers at past conferences have included Charlie Miller, Duchess Harris, and Kelly Barnhill, Jennifer LaGarde, Joyce Valenza, Buffy Hamilton, Doug Johnson, Brad Gustafson

Selection process
Leaders of the ITEM Conference Committee will review proposals regularly leading up to the due date. Submit your application soon for early consideration. We look forward to hearing from you!
