KEYNOTES

Kicking things off on Friday morning will be Duchess Harris. She is the author of four books, including Hidden Human Computers: The Black Women of NASA and Black Lives Matter, both of which she co-authored with Sue Bradford Edwards.

On Saturday morning we'll hear from Kelly Barnhill, award-
winning local author and recent winner of the Newbery Medal for The Girl Who Drank the Moon. Kelly has also won awards for her other titles, including The Witch's Boy, Iron-hearted Violet, and The Mostly True Story of Jack. Kelly has also co-hosted the Minnesota edition of the 90-Second Newbery film festival with James Kennedy.

Book Swap
This year ITEM will offer a Book swap! Clean out your closet! Bring five (5) books you wish to donate and pick up five (5) you want to take home. Five categories: K-5, 6-8, 9-12, Professional Development, and Adult Leisure Reading.

Bring your books to the registration desk, sign in on the laptop, and put your books on the correct book cart. Friday evening we will open the Book Swap and participants can "shop" for their five books.

Great way to share the wealth and give your books to a new reader!
